About Department:
The Department of Metallurgical Engineering was established in 2014. The Department offers Diploma degree in Metallurgical Engineering. The Department has started along with the establishment of the institute itself in 2014. It is the only department in the Bastar division and only fourth in the Chhattisgarh state which provides diploma degree in the Metallurgical Engineering.
Metallurgical Engineering involves the study, design, implementation and improvement of processes that transform mineral resources into metals and then metals into useful products that improve the standard of living of people. Metallurgical Engineering is basically the science and technology dealing with the extraction, refinining and processing of metals.
